Sheetal Kamble ia a Dalit Feminist From India.

I did a Ph.D. course at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. I have worked with different state-run agencies and non-profit organizations in various roles over the last ten years. After completing my Master’s degree in Social Work , I received training from trainers and certificates from MDAC (Mumbai District AIDS Control Society) for peer educators on HIV/AIDS to create awareness. In 2007, while working with SAHELI (Social Action for Health, Education and Legal Issue Organization), a rights-based organization.
This was followed by four years of work (2007-2011) on the issue of domestic and sexual violence against women and applied the counseling skill and advocacy strategy making for women who have faced Domestic violence, Rape, Sexual Harassment at the workplace, and child sexual abuse. I was the Place Commissionerate of Mumbai's office of the Special cell for Women and Children. I participated in intervention activities in a violent situation, and I used the multi-stakeholder approach to work with different NGOs, the State Home Ministry, the Women, and Child.
I pursued my M. Phil from TISS (2011-14), with the research topic being "Dalit Women Empowerment: Perception Among Dalit and Non-Dalit Women of ‘Satara' District of Rural Maharashtra." The major finding was that the understanding of Dalit women’s
empowerment should not only be based on economic and political factors but also the social factor of caste. According to Dalit women, poverty, social isolation, political participation, support from within and outside their castes, and access to valued resources are missing in the process of empowerment. My Ph.D. (2020) research topic is “Caste-based Violence Against Women: Case Studies of Dalit. Women of Rural Maharashtra”. In this research, I have studied the cases of atrocities on Dalit Women and their unique patterns. Now, in February 2022, my research has been published in the ISBN 9788194993131 Books for “Dalit Women: Emerging Patterns of Caste-based Violence” published in Alter press note Publication House Delhi. On 1 Nov 2021, I was appointed Guest. Faculty at the Center of Women's Studies at Hyderabad University. I am offered a four-credit course. Gender and labor studies course for First-year master's students. In the year 2023, I was teaching ‘’ Advanced Theories of Labour ‘’ two-credit course to Center for Labour Study Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Year 2023-2024 , I had been working as a Senior Research fellow/postdoc fellow Center For Excellence in Teacher Education (CETE) at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. I worked on education policy. Now I am a founder member of the TASHI Charitable Trust, where I work with Dalit adolescent girls on issues of caste and gender.
